Mary Alice Daniel Dodgen Mary Alice Daniel Dodger, 63, of Tyler, Texas fought a courageous battle, but was called home on February 22, 2008. She was born on November. 7, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Simpson Daniel and Alice Evelyn White Daniel. Mary was a devout Christian and a member of the Pine Springs Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas where she had taught Sunday school and played the organ for funeral and church services.

She enjoyed life and loved sewing, reading, playing music, going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and especially loved her grandchildren, who knew her as Gammy. Her parents precede her in death. Mary is survived by her family, her daughter DeDe Hodge and her husband Lee of Spicewood, Texas, her son Jason Dodgen and his wife Stacia of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, Dan Dodgen of Round Mountain, Texas, and her grandchildren; Halee and Peyton Hodge of Spicewood, Texas, Reece and Jackson Dodgen of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, her brothers; David Daniel and his wife Joann of Tyler, Texas and John Daniel and his wife Paula of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to her many doctors and their staff for all the care and efforts given. Those who truly knew Mary will remember her loving, generous spirit and her compassionate nature.

Her friendships spanned from her early East Texas roots to the kinships she formed at Eanes I.S.D., Austin Aquafest, The Travis County Livestock Show 8 Rodeo, and, most recently, Smith County. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many. A visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas.

A funeral service celebrating Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, February 26th, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Marble Falls, Texas. Pastor Mark Towns will officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. The family has also planned a memorial service to celebrate Mary's life on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, 2:00 P.M.

Terrence "Terry" Reilley Oct. 20, 1959 Feb. 20, 2008 Terrence "Terry" Timothy Reilley, 48 of Austin, TX passed away on Wednesday, February 20th, after a brief illness. Terry was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Bryan, TX where he attended the Bryan Public Schools. He worked as a pressman for both the Eagle newspaper and the Texas A8M press in Bryan-College Station, TX.

In Austin, TX, where Terry spent the majority of his adult life, he was employed by the University of Texas, worked at "The Daily attended Austin Community College and ran a lawn care service. Terry enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and the study of the natural sciences. He spent many days canoeing and exploring the Central Texas waterways. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Reilley of Ft Collins, CO; his father and stepmother, Robert Reilley Sr. and Barbara Reilley of Houston, TX; his siblings, Robert, John, Ann, Kelly and Steven Reilley; brother-in-law, Lee Panella; sister-in-law, Lilly Lerner; nieces, Natalie and Alexandra Reilley and Claire Panella; his nephew, Christopher Panella; and three step brothers, James, John and Jeffery Majewski.

James M. Ragland, age 72, passed away at his home in San Marcos, Texas, on February 20, 2008. He was born in Gilmer, Texas, to Dr. Madison and Elizabeth Marshall Ragland. He graduated from Gilmer High School and received his B.A.

degree from Baylor University in 1957, where he was a member of the APO fraternity. After serving in the U.S. Army, he returned to Baylor to earn at Master's Degree in Theater Arts in He taught theater and communications at the University of Corpus Christi and then at the University of New Orleans until his retirement. He was a deacon and member of the University Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Coats Ragland and is survived by two sons, Barclay and Madison, wife Melissa and granddaughter, Grace of Portland Oregon; sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Ann and Bill Patterson of Gilmer, Sarah and Jere Jackson of Nacogdoches and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

9, 2008 John Byron Mayo, 58, died in his home in Austin on Saturday, February 9, from complications of multiple sclerosis, which he fought valiantly for three decades. John was born on Christmas Day, 1949, in Rapid City, SD, to Evelyn B. Mayo, of Newcastle-onTyne, England, and then-Major Jesse L. Mayo, of Saratoga, Texas. Because of his father's career as a USAF navigator, John's high school freshman year was in Roswell, N.

sophom*ore year in Sevilla, Spain; junior year at Dreux, near Paris, France; and senior year in Wiesbaden, Germany. John came to Austin in 1967 to attend UT; he earned a degree in American Studies. He served on the Texas Union's Program Committee and was a member of the Tejas Club. After graduating, John moved to Manhattan. He sold advertising for Art In America.

John soon began acting and studied with renowned teacher Sanford Meisner. He landed roles in television commercials, Off-Broadway productions and appearances on soap operas "Loving" and "One Life to John was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1988. He returned to Austin in 1993. He landed acting roles with Austin Shakespeare Festival and other local troupes. John began serving on the Board of Directors of the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in 1995 until his death, and was Chairman from 1997 until 2001.

He also volunteered for the campaigns of U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett Democratic and the Travis County Party. John was preceded in death by his father, Col. Jesse L.

Mayo, in 1978; his mother, Evelyn Brigid Bell Mayo, in 2003; and his sister, Melissa Kim Mayo in 1995. He is survived by sister, Pamela Mayo Clark, of Austin; two nieces, Teel Mayo Clark Asheville, NC, and Naomi Summer King of Houma, LA; nephew, Benjamin T. King of Houston; and one aunt, Ruth Mayo Buchanan, of Navasota, Texas. John is also survived by first cousins on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean: ten native Texans and five natives of Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. Burial of John's ashes will be at 11:00 a.m.

June 14, in the Teel Family Cemetery near Saratoga, Texas. John will be laid to rest near his parents and among six generations of his father's family. Family and friends are saddened by the sudden passing of Bruce H. Deatherage at the age of 86. A true Texan, he was born in Wichita Falls, TX on September 14, 1921. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WW II, he enrolled at the University of Texas Austin where he pursued his studies and was awarded a Doctorate in Psycholof the Acoustical Society of ogy.

He was a long time member America. His work took him to The Central Institute for the Deaf in St Louis, Missouri and then to the Children Hospital in Los Angeles, California. When an offer came from Tracor, he gladly returned to Austin where he conducted research in the field of sonar applications. He then went on to Applied Research Laboratory and continued to live in Austin until retirement. After residing in Fredericksburg, Texas for a few years, he and his wife Madeleine returned 1 to their favorite city, Austin.

Survivors include his wife Madeleine Aubry, his daughters Alison Ann and husband Theodore V. Mundy III, Laura Ellen and husband Steven M. Bowman, daughters Nicole Aubry and husband Allan H. Nutt, Suzanne Aubry Breitbach, grandchildren Erin L. Mundy, Theodore M.

Their marriage was one of joy and peace, and was permeated with the love of Christ.

They have three wonderful teenage children, Luke, Alex, and Sam who were the delight of life. Exuberant and energetic, worked in jobs outside the home (from secretary to church pastor's assistant to traveling the world as a computer trainer) until her declining health forced her retirement last year from Austin State Hospital, where she worked as a medical records technician. The family would like to thank everyone who has prayed for took care of the Atkinson children while she received treatment in Houston, helped pay for medical expenses, prepared food for them, and supported them. Their family at Red River Church, where Keith serves as a pastor, has been amazing in their love and support. Edward's University in Austin, determined to earn a college degree. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating from St. Edward's in 1985. Dee is survived by her husband George Hodges of Austin, a son, Keith Hodges and his wife Beverly of Austin, a daughter Vicki Hodges and her husband, Steve Cerveris of and Los Angeles, grandson, CA. Tower Edwin R. Tower, 88, of Carestone Assisted Living Center in South Austin, died Saturday, Feb. 16. Ed was a devoted husband, father, and member of Berkeley United Methodist Church. He served his country for 31 with US Air Force and 12 years with the US Postal Service.

He loved to golf. He and his wife, Millie, lived in Austin since 1970 when Ed retired from the Air Force. Through illnesses and health, she had an amazing capacity for laughter and the ability to find humor in the every day ups and downs of life. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, and members of the senior citizen communities to which she belonged later in life. Bea was affectionately nicknamed "the little rascal" by her son-in-law and the "energizer bunny" by others. God's Grace truly shown through the ever present mischievous twinkle in her eyes, and in her amazing heart and spirit. Bea possessed a mother's inexplicable capacity to love her children and grandchildren without question.

Her support and encouragement was evident in every thing she did, every day of their lives. The light that shown through her spread its glow on every one she met and never a stranger did she meet. Her loving personality, incredible wit, funny stories and infectious smile will forever be her legacy. Bea was predeceased by her husband John, parents Finn and Agnes Raffety, brother Paul Raffety, and brother-in-law John Kasonic. She is survived by her son, Michael Vowels and his wife Cory; daughter, Lou O'Hanlon and her husband Manuel Castano; grandchildren, Cassie Avery, and her husband Eric, Regan Vowels, Lynn Dickson and husband Scott, Dawn Evertson and her husband Drew; and great-grandchildren, Erica Avery, Amanda Avery, Joshua Avery, Jonathen Avery, Devon Evertson, Dylin Evertson, and Davis Evertson.
