The FedEx Cup Playoffs are finally here and action returns to TPC Southwind in Memphis for the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship. This will be the final stretch for world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who has crushed the competition all season long by winning six events, including the Masters. He is also coming off of a gold medal victory as a member of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, so all eyes will be on him to pull off another dominant performance at the FedEx St. Jude 2024.
Scheffler is the +360 favorite in the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship odds, followed by Xander Schauffele at +750. Rory McIlroy (+900) and Collin Morikawa (+1400) follow on the PGA odds board, while Ludvig Aberg is a +2000 longshot. Round 1 begins Thursday at 8:20 a.m. ET.Before locking in your 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship picks or PGA props, be sure tosee the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters -- its third Masters in a row -- and this year's PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Top 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship golf predictions
One surprise: McIlroy, a four-time major champion and one of the top favorites, does not crack the top five this week. McIlroy missed the cut at The Open Championship in his last PGA Tour event before finishing fifth at the Paris Olympics. Despite three top-five finishes in his last four tournaments, McIlroy has just two PGA Tour victories this season and none since May.
McIlroy finished third at last year's FedEx St. Jude Championship but he missed the cut the season before. He has one top-10 finish in his last four tournaments at TPC Southwind and given his high position on the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship oddsboard, the model doesn't see much value in McIlroy. Despite being ranked No. 3 in the world and one of the most recognizable players in PGA Tour history, McIlroy isn't worth his price this weekend.
The model has also examined where Schauffele finishes. The Southern California native has been the best golfer in major tournaments this season, finishing in the top 10 all four times. He added a bow to those performances by winning the PGA Championship and the Open Championship, becoming the first golfer to win two majors in a season since McIlroy in 2014.
Schauffele has made the cut at all 18 events he has started in 2024, posting top-10 finishes in 12 of those events and top-5 finishes including wins in seven of them. He has just one top-10 finish in six starts at TPC Southwind and has finished outside of the top-20 in his last two FedEx St. Jude starts, but his form this season could be a sign that his fortunes will turn around. The model just locked in its Xander Schauffele FedEx St. Jude Championship picks here.
